Asked To See Patient
A guide to being a confident & competent FY1 Doctor
Designed by trainees for trainees. ATSP is a teaching program designed to help the transition from medical student to capable on-call FY1 as seamless as possible.
ATSP is now in its 12th Year and continues to grow from strength to strength; all FY1 Doctors in the North West Deanery have ATSP teaching as part of their Hospital induction. We have branched out into several other deaneries with the aim of improving Junior Doctor competence and confidence, and ultimately patient safety on a national scale.

We are keen to keep updating and improving ATSP in order to be as helpful and supportive as possible for each and every FY1 Doctor. This section covers all the work we have in the pipeline to make ATSP the best it can be.
Every year trainees suggest new areas they wish were covered in our guide, unfortunately we can't add them all, but we will strive to include the high demand topics.
Please let us know which new section you'd like adding to the 2024 handbook by clicking the link below
